WHY FIRE TRAINING?
Legislation requires that all employees receive appropriate safety
instruction. Therefore, anyone likely to have to use extinguishers
should be trained in their use and receive basic instruction in
fire fighting.

Fire Awareness Course No 1
AIM:
To provide general fire safety and awareness training which includes
training on portable fire fighting equipment.
Delegates will be able to identify, select and use various types of
portable fire fighting equipment.
LOCATION:
Courses are normally held at a customers premises or at an off site
venue.
DURATION:
Course takes approximately 1/2 day.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Staff who may, as part of company fire procedures, use a fire extinguisher
to aid escape from premises.
CONTENT:
• Why fire training?
• Fire prevention measures
• Case study exercise
• Evacuation procedures
• Theory of fire
• Human behaviour in the event of fire
• Practical fire extinguisher demonstration with live fires
– everyone gets a go!!
• Home fire safety
CERTIFICATION:
Delegates will receive a certificate
of attendance.
NUMBERS:
Training for up to 20 delegates per course.

• 15 minute video on which Extinguisher to use
• Practical fire extinguisher demonstration with live fires
– everyone gets a go!!
CERTIFICATION:
Delegates will receive a certificate
of attendance.
NUMBERS:
Training for up to 20 delegates per course.
